Who we are
We are the School of Philosophy South East London, a branch of the School of Philosophy and Economic Science, with Head Offices in London. Further information on the School as a whole is through the website www.schoolofphilosophy.org.
Both the parent school and its branches are run as an independent educational charity.
Our centre is at Athene House, 13 Addiscombe Grove, Croydon CR0 5LR. Tutors are all senior students of the School and offer their time for free; the fees we charge are solely to cover the costs of the building and administration.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all of our courses have recently been run online. As a result of the easing of restrictions in July we will now be offering an in-person Introductory Term this September. However, we are continuing to offer the courses online as well. This will give those who prefer not to travel or cannot travel the opportunity to engage in our courses. It also allows us to offer our courses over a wider area and we particularly would like our courses to be available across the following areas: The London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Croydon and Sutton plus those areas of North Kent and Surrey that are adjacent to Greater London.
